Studio

The other half of the practice, the part with no client.

Ten years of coordinating projects left me with a set of systems I had rebuilt too many times. These are those systems, cleaned up and released for anyone who wants to borrow the structure rather than invent it again.

Notion system

Conceptlogy

A structured way to hold a concept from the first brand reading through to the drawing set, so the idea is written down somewhere other than in the designer's head.

Needs your copy Two or three sentences on what Conceptlogy actually contains and who it is for. What problem does it solve on day one, and what does someone get in the file. Replace the paragraph above with your own words.
Notion system

Studio Operating System

Project tracking, consultant coordination, drawing registers and handover checklists, arranged the way a small design studio actually works rather than the way project management software assumes it does.

Needs your copy Name the databases and views it ships with, and say who it suits: solo designer, studio of three, studio of ten. Concrete beats general here.

More tools land here as they are built. The list below is the fastest way to hear about them.

Why this exists

Built for one studio, then let go

None of this started as a product. Each one was made because a project needed it and nothing off the shelf fitted. That is the only test they have passed, and it is the one I trust most.

If you want the thinking rather than the file, the systems chapter on the About page explains where all of it came from.

When you are ready to sell Set up a Stripe Payment Link per product, then swap each Join the list link for the Stripe URL and put the real price in place of Price TBC. Point the Stripe success URL at a private download page. A static site cannot gate files by itself, so the download link is the thing to keep unlisted.

The list

One email when something is finished. Nothing else.

No schedule, no newsletter, no marketing. If you want to know when a tool is ready, send a line and I will add you.
